The Verdict
DraftKings Predictions is the most natural entry point into regulated event contracts for anyone already comfortable with daily fantasy. It folds CFTC-style Yes/No markets into an app millions already trust, and it is the only platform in our comparison backed by a genuine, trackable affiliate program. The trade-off is that it is a real financial product available in roughly 38 states — you can lose money, and you should treat it as trading, not as a DFS bonus.
Scorecard
DraftKings Predictions is DraftKings’ event-contract product: instead of building a daily-fantasy lineup, you trade Yes/No contracts on real-world outcomes — economic releases, sports results, cultural and political events — at prices that move with the crowd’s estimate of probability. It is structured as a CFTC-style event-contracts market, which makes it a financial/derivatives product rather than a sportsbook wager.
For our DFS-first audience this is the single most relevant entrant in the prediction-markets space, because DraftKings has integrated Predictions directly into the main DraftKings app. If you already hold a DraftKings account, you can reach the Predictions tab without onboarding to a brand-new platform — a meaningful advantage over standalone exchanges.
How DraftKings Predictions works
- Open the DraftKings app. Predictions lives inside the main DraftKings app — there is no separate download. If you already play DFS, sign in; otherwise create a DraftKings account and complete identity verification (KYC).
- Find the Predictions tab. Navigate to the Predictions / event-contracts section. You will see markets grouped by category, each priced as a Yes/No contract between roughly 1¢ and 99¢.
- Pick a market and a side. A contract’s price reflects the market’s implied probability. Buying Yes at 60¢ means you pay 60¢ for a contract that settles at $1 if the event happens and $0 if it does not.
- Place your order. Enter the number of contracts and confirm. Your maximum loss is what you paid; your maximum gain is $1 per contract minus your cost.
- Wait for settlement. When the real-world event resolves, winning contracts settle at $1 and losing contracts at $0. Proceeds land back in your DraftKings balance.
Why DraftKings Predictions is the easiest DFS on-ramp
Most platforms in the prediction-markets vertical offer only a per-user "refer-a-friend" code or a crypto points program — neither of which is a real, trackable affiliate relationship. DraftKings is the exception: it runs an established CPA/RevShare affiliate program on the Income Access network, the same infrastructure behind its DFS and sportsbook offers. For a content site that means accountable tracking and a partner who understands publisher relationships.
Just as important for readers, the product itself is the lowest-friction on-ramp here. The interface borrows the polish of the DraftKings DFS app, the funding rails are ones DFS players already use, and the markets that overlap with sports give existing customers an immediately familiar starting point before they branch into economics or culture markets.
What it costs and how you make (or lose) money
There is no published headline "deposit match" for Predictions the way there is for DFS — event contracts are priced markets, not bonus-driven promotions. Your economics come from the spread between the price you pay for a contract and its $1 settlement value, not from a sign-up bonus. Any promotional credit is set in-app and can change, so we present no fixed figure here.
Because this is a financial product, the honest framing matters: every contract can settle at zero. Unlike a DFS deposit match with a defined rollover, there is no protected floor. Size positions as risk capital you can afford to lose.
The sign-up offer
The realistic "offer" for DraftKings Predictions is access to a familiar, regulated event-contract venue rather than a headline bonus. We deliberately do not quote a specific match figure, because the Predictions vertical’s sign-up terms are set inside the DraftKings app and can change. Confirm the current terms in-app before you fund, and treat any promotional credit as a bonus on top of — not a substitute for — sound bankroll discipline.
US & state availability
DraftKings Predictions launched as a CFTC-style event-contracts product live in roughly 38 US states. The exclusion list is reported to include at least Maine (ME) and New Hampshire (NH), and some sources list additional states — DraftKings sets the current list in-app, so confirm your state shows the Predictions tab before funding.
Because Predictions is federally framed rather than state-licensed like DFS, there is no DFS-style 21+ gate; the standard age is 18+ with KYC. That said, sports event contracts specifically face ongoing state-attorney-general and tribal legal challenges, which could narrow the available sports markets over time. Non-sports categories (economics, politics, weather, culture) are less exposed.
Excluded / contested: Excludes at least Maine (ME) and New Hampshire (NH); confirm the current list in-app.
