US adults who can already open a Polymarket ticket and now want to get pinged when that ticket moves to a price they care about — where alert / notify / watch-price lives if official help or the live ticket names it, why that ping is not a limit order, and why it is not the same as turning on all notifications. This is not how to turn on notifications, not how to use a watchlist, not how to read Yes/No prices, not how to read price history, and not how to place a limit order. Describe the action
Official Place a Trade: tap any market to open it. That opened ticket is where you look for a control that pings you when the mark reaches a price you care about. Official US pages we checked do not name that control. If the live US app shows Alert, Notify, Watch price, Set alert, or a bell on that ticket, use that live label. If the control is missing or named differently, stay on the ticket and do not hunt a header we invent.
A cents field — if the live ticket asks for one — is not a header we type
Follow the live field
Official Odds Display toggles price (¢) and percent chance (%). Official Prices & Market Data treats the displayed cents as the market’s implied chance. Those pages do not reprint a “notify me at” box. If the live ticket asks you to enter or pick a price after you tap the live alert / notify / watch-price control, follow that live field. We will not invent a 40¢ teaching threshold as a button that exists. Do not tap Yes or No to “set” a ping — that is a trade.
International alerts, Perps, API streams, and third-party bots are not the US desk

The international website, the international docs Notifications page for Perps, the official US Markets WebSocket (price data for API clients), and third-party Telegram / Discord / “Polymarket alerts” apps are not the US event-contract swipe. Official Glossary: an open order is an order waiting on the book to be filled. A price ping does not post size, does not consume buying power, and does not become an open order. A ping is not a fill, and not a locked entry

Official Orders & Trading: once an order fills, you have a position. Official Place a Trade: positions update in real time as prices change. A banner that the cents crossed a level you asked about is neither of those. It does not spend cash and does not lock the next ask. Official Prices & Market Data: a take-now buy still pays the best available price on the other side right now. We do not reprint a live last trade.
Canceling a ping does not cancel an order
Two different undos
If the live ticket lets you remove or edit the alert / notify / watch-price control, that undo is only the message. Official Orders & Trading: a resting limit stays until it fills or you cancel it. Describe the split

Official Protect Your Account, Official Place a Trade, Official Monitor Your Positions, and Official Glossary do not reprint a Notifications tab on the swipe we checked. How to turn on notifications is that settings door: email or push if the live screen shows it, and only the event rows that screen prints. This page is not that master switch.
A ticket-level ping is one market, one price you care about
Not “price moves” for everything
If the live settings list a generic price-moves row, that is an account-wide subscribe — still the notifications how-to. A price you set on one opened ticket, if the live ticket offers that, is narrower: you asked to be told when that printed sentence reaches a level you named. Official US pages we checked do not reprint either control as a named pair. We will not invent a “this market only” checkbox. Follow the live label on the ticket you opened.
Turning the channel on does not create a threshold
Permission ≠ price
Allowing email, push, or the phone’s notification permission only lets a message through if the app actually sends one. It does not pick 40¢, 60¢, or any other print. Official US help does not name a retail email-alert or push-alert rail, and it does not name a cents picker. Grant the OS prompt only if the live app asks. Then still confirm whether this ticket has its own alert / notify / watch-price control.

Open one market in the Polymarket US app — not polymarket.com, and not a third-party alert tool
Find the ticket first, then open it. Official Place a Trade: tap any market to open it. Official Website vs App: US residents sign in, deposit, and trade in the Polymarket US app; polymarket.com is a different product and US residents cannot deposit or trade there. Official What is Polymarket US? is the fiat, CFTC-regulated desk this page belongs to. A Telegram bot, a Discord webhook, an international Notifications tab, or the official Markets WebSocket is not this retail swipe. If the sports desk is hidden where you live, stop.

Look for the live alert / notify / watch-price control — we will not invent the header

Official Orders & Trading: a limit sits on the book until someone trades against it or you cancel; a fill creates a position. A banner that the mark crossed a level you asked about does neither. Official Place a Trade: the mark updates in real time. Official Prices & Market Data: a take-now buy still pays the best available price on the other side right now. Open the ticket and read the book after a ping. Do not swipe because a banner flashed.

Leave notifications, the watchlist, Yes/No prices, price history, and the limit to their own how-tos
How to turn on notifications is the account-settings channel switch — email or push if the live settings show them. How to use a watchlist is the pin so you can come back without hunting. How to read Yes/No prices is what the cents imply. How to read price history is the chart / last-trade tape. How to place a limit order is size that waits on the book. This page is only the ticket-level ping, if the live ticket shows one. Event contracts can settle at zero. Trade only what you can afford to lose. Nothing here is investment advice.
Blocked and contested states
Reported unavailable as of June 2026: Arizona, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada and Ohio. That list is not a promise it stays still — litigation around sports event contracts in particular can narrow or shift access. If you are in a listed state, do not treat a price ping as a market you can reopen or trade. If you are in Florida or another green-light state, still confirm the ticket appears before you send money.
Age is 18+ with identity verification. That is a different gate from the 21+ / responsible-gambling frame on our DFS pages, because these are traded financial instruments.
