Who this guide is for
US adults who already have a Polymarket US account and now want to close it, disable it, or request that personal data be deleted. This is not how to withdraw, not how to cash out, not how to turn on 2FA, not how to complete KYC, and not Polymarket blocked states. Those pages are the off-ramp, the live-ticket exit, the login lock, the ID file, and the eligibility gate. This page is only the account-end request on the US desk. Polymarket is the only live outbound here.
Close, disable, delete — only what public help names
People mash three words into one “kill my account” button. Official US retail help does not print that button. Hard rule: if official US help names a screen, we name it. If a label is not on those pages, we describe the action and tell you to follow the live Settings control or support.
Close
End the US desk — not a named retail button
Official US Accounts & Identity names Closed as an account status: no longer active. That is institutional / API language, not a confirmed Profile tap. Official US retail help does not reprint a control labelled Close Account. The action is: stop using the US app as a funded desk, then ask Polymarket US to mark the account closed if the live Settings screen does not already offer that word.
Disable
Not a published US help label
Official US Protect Your Account, Create an Account, and the US docs index do not name Disable, Deactivate, or Freeze as a self-serve settings row. We will not invent one. If the live account settings print Disable, Deactivate, or a similar pause, use that live word. If they do not, the action is a support request — not a second account, and not a VPN.
Delete / request deletion
A data request — not a confirmed US article
Official US retail help does not reprint How to Delete Your Account. Official international help does, for the other product: settings, after positions and wallet funds are gone. That is not the US fiat cashier. On the US desk the action is: look in account settings for a live Delete or privacy-request control; if none is printed, request deletion through in-app chat or support@polymarket.us. Official Reporting Data: historical data is retained according to regulatory requirements — a request is not a promise every record vanishes.
Official US help · no invented Close / Disable / Delete row · confirm live Settings
Not a blocked-state lockout — and not an under-review hold
Closing is a request you make (or support processes). A geo block is the desk refusing you. Official Why is my account under review? is a third state. Do not treat them as one.
A blocked-state / eligibility lockout
The app refused you — you did not close
A geo or eligibility block is the US app refusing sign-up, a sports ticket, or a fund because of your address or another access rule. Official US help does not publish a complete blocked-state table. That map — and what to do if you are blocked — lives on Polymarket blocked states. Closing or requesting deletion is a user (or support) action on an account you already have. It does not unlock Nevada, and it is not a workaround for a state the app will not serve.
An account under review
Official “Why is my account under review?”
Official US under-review help lists an information mismatch, similar details on another account, or extra KYC / AML checks. The same page says the account activates automatically once verification finishes, with an in-app and email notice. That hold is not a close, not a disable, and not a deletion request. Do not open a second account to “speed it up.”
A sportsbook self-exclude or DFS cool-off
Different product, different gate
Daily fantasy and sportsbooks are state-licensed gambling products — often 21+, with a 1-800-GAMBLER frame and house self-exclusion tools. Polymarket US event contracts are CFTC-regulated financial/derivatives products, typically 18+ with KYC. We will not paste a sportsbook “close my account” button onto this desk. A contract can settle at zero. Nothing here is investment advice.
Close ≠ blocked ≠ under review · no VPN · support@polymarket.us
Cash first — if help or the live screen requires it
Get money off the exchange before you ask the exchange to go away. That is two other how-tos, not a cloned cashier. Official Withdraw Funds is the US off-ramp. Official international delete help is the other product’s empty-wallet rule.
Open ticket — sell it or wait for settlement
Not this page
An open Yes/No is not cash and is not a closed account. Official “Can I sell early?” is the live-ticket exit. How to cash out on Polymarket covers that fill. This page does not reprint that book walk. If you still hold a ticket, finish that exit first — or wait for Clearing — before you treat the desk as empty.
Settled cash — send it off the US desk
Official Withdraw Funds
Official Check Your Balance: withdrawals come only from cash. Official Withdraw Funds: Profile → Withdraw → Withdraw To, after the funding deposit has fully cleared. How to withdraw from Polymarket is that off-ramp. This page does not reprint rails, FIFO, or arrival windows. If cash is still sitting, withdraw it before you ask the desk to close.
What official help actually requires
US pages vs international delete help
Official US retail help does not reprint a close-account prerequisite list. Official international “How to Delete Your Polymarket Account” (June 25, 2026) does: close all open positions, withdraw all funds from the Polymarket wallet, then delete from settings — and says you cannot delete an account still holding positions or tokens. That wallet / token line is the international product. On the US desk: if the live Settings screen prompts a zero-cash / no-open-positions state, follow that live prompt. We will not invent a US-side “must withdraw first” rule those US pages do not print — and we will not tell you to leave cash on a desk you want closed.
US help: no printed close prerequisite · international delete help: empty wallet · confirm live screen
Where close / disable / delete lives
Official What is Polymarket US? is the fiat desk this request belongs to. Official Protect Your Account is the credential page — official app only, no shared codes.
Account settings — then the live Close / Disable / Delete label
Confirm the live screen
Official US contact help puts in-app chat inside account settings. Official US 2FA help uses the same “account settings” door. Official US retail pages we checked do not reprint a row labelled Close Account, Disable Account, or Delete Account. We will not invent Profile → Security → Delete. If the live Settings / Privacy / Account screen prints Close, Disable, Deactivate, Delete, or Request deletion, use that live label.
If no button is printed — request it
Official How do I contact support?
Official US contact help: in-app chat from account settings, or support@polymarket.us. Include what you were trying to do (close, disable, or delete), that you are on the US app, and any on-screen error. Official Protect Your Account: never share verification codes, including with support. We will not invent a ticket form URL, a retention-day clock, or a guarantee that support will bypass an open position or uncleared cash.
US app — not polymarket.com settings
Official Website vs App
Official What is Polymarket US? and Official Website vs App: US residents use the Polymarket US app on the CFTC-regulated fiat desk. Official international delete help points at settings on that other product and at support@polymarket.com. Do not hunt for a wallet delete on polymarket.com and assume it closes the US (QCEX) account you funded with debit, ACH, or wire.
Account settings · live label if printed · else support request · US app only
The US close / disable / delete sequence
-
Step 1
Confirm you are on the US (QCEX) app — not the international site
This how-to is the compliant US fiat desk, not a crypto-wallet delete. Official Website vs App: US residents sign in and trade in the Polymarket US app. Official What is Polymarket US? is the CFTC-regulated designated contract market. Official international “How to Delete Your Polymarket Account” is the other product. Age is 18+ with KYC — not the 21+ / 1-800-GAMBLER frame on our DFS pages. A blocked-state lockout is a different page.
-
Step 2
If you still have an open ticket or cash, finish those exits first
Official US retail help does not reprint a close-account prerequisite list. Official international delete help does require closed positions and a withdrawn wallet before that product will delete. On the US desk: an open Yes/No is still a ticket (cash-out / sell-early); settled cash leaves from Profile → Withdraw → Withdraw To (the withdraw how-to). If the live Settings screen requires zero cash or no open positions, follow that live prompt. We do not invent your personal clear clock. A publisher link is how this site is supported — it is not extra credit in your account.
-
Step 3
Open account settings and look for a live Close, Disable, or Delete control
Official US help names account settings (in-app chat lives there; 2FA help uses the same door). It does not reprint a Close / Disable / Delete row we can name. If the live Settings, Privacy, or Account screen prints one of those words — or Request deletion — use the live label. Do not hunt for it on polymarket.com. Do not invent a second button those US pages do not print.
-
Step 4
If no confirmable button, request close or deletion through support
Official How do I contact support?: in-app chat from account settings, or support@polymarket.us. Say whether you want the account closed, disabled, or personal data deleted, and that you are on Polymarket US. Official Protect Your Account: never share a verification code, including with someone claiming to be support. Official under-review help is a different hold — do not open a second account.
-
Step 5
Treat the outcome as Polymarket’s — and do not confuse it with a geo block
Official Reporting Data: historical data is retained according to regulatory requirements; contact support for specific retention policies. We will not invent a deletion-day clock or a promise that every record is gone. A blocked-state refusal is eligibility, not a close you requested. Event contracts can settle at zero. Nothing here is investment advice. Confirm any live terms in the US app.
Two desks — do not paste the international delete flow here
Official What is Polymarket US? splits the brand. The international product is crypto on a chain. Official How to Delete Your Polymarket Account (June 25, 2026) belongs there: close positions, withdraw the wallet, delete from settings, profile data removed in line with that Privacy Policy, on-chain history stays, help via support@polymarket.com.
The US product is a fiat, CFTC-regulated designated contract market. Official US retail help on docs.polymarket.us has no matching Delete Account article in the public index we checked. Official US support is support@polymarket.us or in-app chat. We will not paste a wallet-delete, a chain, or a token wipe onto this page.
What official US help does not print — so we will not either
Official US retail pages we checked do not print a Close / Disable / Delete settings path, a self-serve deactivation toggle, a deletion-day clock, or a “all records gone” line. Official Accounts & Identity names Active, Suspended, and Closed as statuses — that is not a confirmed phone button. Official Reporting Data says historical data is retained according to regulatory requirements.
If the live Settings / Privacy screen uses different words for the same action, follow the live screen. That is the rule this site uses when a control is not confirmable on public US help.
Blocked and contested states
Official US help does not publish a complete blocked-state table. A close, disable, or deletion request does not change that map, and it is not a hint to route around a block. The eligibility page is Polymarket blocked states (US) — this how-to does not reprint it. If the app already refuses you, contact support; do not use a VPN.
Age is 18+ with identity verification. That is a different gate from the 21+ / responsible-gambling frame on our DFS pages, because these are traded financial instruments. If you also want NFL DFS, start at the picks hub — those cashier rules do not carry over. Compare platforms on the prediction-markets hub.
What you will not get from this page
A named Close / Disable / Delete button official US help does not print, a cloned withdraw / cash-out / 2FA / KYC / blocked-states walkthrough, a wallet-delete copied from international help, a deletion-day clock, a sportsbook self-exclude, a VPN tip, a dollar welcome match, a paste-this promo code, or claim buttons for Kalshi, DraftKings, FanDuel, Underdog, Sleeper, PrizePicks, Hard Rock or BetRivers. We could not verify a standing official US welcome bonus on Polymarket’s own terms. Other publishers’ partner codes are theirs; we do not copy them. The honest user-facing line is still US access via CFTC-regulated QCEX — if cash or an open ticket is still on the desk, finish those exits first; open account settings and use a live Close / Disable / Delete label if the US app prints one; otherwise request close or deletion from in-app chat or support@polymarket.us; and do not treat that request as a blocked-state unlock.
