Who this guide is for
US adults who already filled a Yes or No and now need to find the Portfolio list and read it — where that view lives if public US help or the live card shows it, what a filled open-position row shows, and how that row differs from an open order. This is not how to sell a filled position, not how to cancel an open order, not how to read open orders, not how to tell cash from buying power, and not how to read the activity feed. Those pages are the exit, the unfilled undo, the working-order list, the withdrawable-versus-tied-up split, and the public tape. This page is the filled-position list. Then we link out. Polymarket is the only live outbound on this page.
What each Portfolio row is
Official Glossary splits open position from open order. Official Monitor Your Positions is the filled ticket. Official Orders & Trading is the lifecycle before that fill. Do not mash them into one “my bets” row. See prediction markets vs sportsbooks if you wanted a house open-bets slip. There isn’t one.
Open position — the filled Yes or No you already hold
Official Glossary + Monitor Your Positions
Official Glossary: an open position is the contracts you currently hold. Official Monitor Your Positions: those are contracts you hold in active markets. Official Orders & Trading: once the order is Filled, you have a position. This list is that ticket. You already own the shares. The public order book is everyone else’s bids and asks — Official Glossary names that ladder separately. Do not read a stranger’s quote as a row you hold.
Open order — size still waiting, not a ticket you own
Official Glossary + Orders & Trading
Official Glossary: an open order is an order waiting on the book to be filled; order status is open, filled, or partially filled. Official Orders & Trading: after Pending, that resting state is Open. Unfilled size is not an open-position row. Official US Monitor Your Positions names cash, open positions, and total value — it does not reprint an “Open orders” tab. If the live Portfolio or card already shows a working-order list, use that list. How to read open orders is the locator. This page only names the difference.
One market, one filled row — not a house open-bets slip
Official Monitor Your Positions
Official Monitor Your Positions walks contracts held in each market. Official Place a Trade: tap any market to open it; after a swipe, open the Portfolio tab. Each filled row is one instrument you already hold. It is not a sportsbook pending slip, and it is not the Activity / comments thread on a public ticket. See prediction markets vs sportsbooks if you wanted a house open-bets list. There isn’t one.
Official open position ≠ open order · filled row ≠ public book
Where the Portfolio list lives
Hard rule: if official US help names a screen, we name it. If a tab is not on those pages, we describe the action. Official Website vs App splits the international site from the US desk.
Portfolio tab — if public US help or the live card shows it
Official Place a Trade
Official Place a Trade: after you swipe, open the Portfolio tab to track your position and market value. That is the published US door for the list this page is after. Official Monitor Your Positions: the same screen shows cash balance, open positions, and total account value. If the live US app already prints Portfolio, Positions, or another filled-ticket list, use that live word. We will not invent a second header those pages do not print.
US app — not polymarket.com
Official Website vs App
Official Website vs App: US residents deposit and trade in the Polymarket US app, not on the international website. Official What is Polymarket US? is the CFTC-regulated designated contract market this page belongs to. Official Place a Trade is written for that US swipe. If a control is labelled differently in-app, follow the live screen. If the sports desk is hidden where you live, stop.
The same market card you already filled
Describe the action
Official Place a Trade: tap any market to open it. If you still have the event card, the live ticket can show the side you hold. Official Monitor Your Positions does not reprint a header literally labelled “Filled position” on that card. We will not invent one. The action is: open Portfolio, or open the market you already filled, then confirm the live row is contracts you hold — not leftover size still waiting, and not the public book.
Official Place a Trade · Portfolio tab · US app, not polymarket.com
What a filled position row shows
Official Monitor Your Positions is the published field list. Official Place a Trade is why the mark moves. We name those fields. We do not reprint a live dollar, and we do not walk a sale.
Contracts held in that market
Official Monitor Your Positions
Official Monitor Your Positions lists contracts held in each market on the open-position view. Official Glossary: a contract settles at $1.00 if the outcome occurs and $0.00 if it does not; an open position is the contracts you currently hold. That count is shares you already own. It is not unfilled size still sitting on the book, and it is not a number we reprint here.
Average entry price next to current market price
Official Monitor Your Positions
Official Monitor Your Positions: average entry price and current market price sit on the open position. Official Place a Trade: positions update in real time as market prices change. Official Glossary: position value is the real-time dollar value of those open positions. The gap between what you paid and the current mark is a mark-to-market. It is not withdrawable cash, and it is not a sportsbook cash-out quote.
Potential payout — if that side grades yes
Official Monitor Your Positions + Glossary
Official Monitor Your Positions lists potential payout on the open position. Official Glossary: each winning contract pays $1.00 and a losing contract pays $0.00. Potential payout is the published upside if the side you hold wins — not a guaranteed credit, not cash you can send to a debit card today, and not a floor. Event contracts can settle at zero.

How to find and read the list
-
Step 1
Open the US Portfolio tab — or the live list the card already shows
Official Place a Trade: open the Portfolio tab to track the position and market value. Official Website vs App: US residents use the Polymarket US app; polymarket.com is a different product and US residents cannot deposit or trade there. Official Monitor Your Positions: look for open positions next to cash and total value. If the live app labels the same screen Positions or something else, use the live control. We will not invent a second header. If the sports desk is hidden where you live, stop.
-
Step 2
Confirm you are on the filled-position list — not the public book
Official Glossary: an open position is contracts you already hold; the order book is the list of bids and asks. Official Monitor Your Positions is the filled ticket. Official Prices & Market Data describes the public ladder — that is a different how-to. Do not tap someone else’s bid or ask as if it were a row you own. This page is the list of tickets already in your account.
-
Step 3
Read one filled row: contracts held, average entry, current market, potential payout
Official Monitor Your Positions names those four fields on the open position. Official Place a Trade: the mark updates in real time. Official US pages do not reprint a retail column labelled “P&L” or “Filled position.” We will not invent one. Read the published fields on that row. We do not reprint a live dollar, a live contract count, or a personal account value.
-
Step 4
Split a filled row from an open order — leftover size is not a ticket you own
Official Glossary: an open order is still waiting on the book. Official Orders & Trading: Filled means you have a position; Partially filled means some size matched and the rest is still open. Official US Monitor Your Positions does not reprint the international “Open orders” tab — find unfilled size on the market you posted, or in whatever working-order list the live Portfolio actually shows. How to read open orders is that locator. How to cancel an open order is the undo. This page only names the row.
-
Step 5
Stop — selling, canceling, and cash versus buying power are later how-tos
Official Can I sell early?: you can close a filled ticket while the market is still open; proceeds go to cash. That exit is How to sell a filled position. Official Check Your Balance: cash is money not tied to an open position; withdrawals come only from that cash after the deposit clears. How to tell cash from buying power is that split. Event contracts can settle at zero. Trade only what you can afford to lose. Nothing here is investment advice.
This is not a sale, a cancel, or the public tape
Official Can I sell early? is the opposite trade on a ticket you already own. That exit lives on How to sell a filled position on Polymarket. Official Glossary: an open order is still waiting. Pulling that remainder is How to cancel an open order on Polymarket. This page will not invent a US Sell or Cancel chip, and it will not reprint a live leftover count.
Finding the working-order list is How to read open orders on Polymarket. What you can still spend versus what can leave after a deposit clears is How to tell cash from buying power. Public prints and comments are How to read the activity feed. We do not clone those pages.
Blocked and contested states
Reported unavailable as of June 2026: Arizona, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada and Ohio. That list is not a promise it stays still — litigation around sports event contracts in particular can narrow or shift access. If you are in a listed state, do not treat a Portfolio row as a ticket you can still manage. If you are in Florida or another green-light state, still confirm the list appears before you treat a filled row as yours.
Age is 18+ with identity verification. That is a different gate from the 21+ / responsible-gambling frame on our DFS pages, because these are traded financial instruments. What you will not get from this page
A dollar welcome match, a paste-this promo code, a live cash figure or contract count, an invented US “Open orders,” “Settled,” or “P&L” tab the official US pages do not print, a cloned sell-filled-position / cancel-open-order / open-orders / cash-versus-buying-power / activity-feed walkthrough, a newsletter form, or claim buttons for Kalshi, DraftKings, FanDuel, Underdog, Sleeper, PrizePicks, Hard Rock or BetRivers. We could not verify a standing official US welcome bonus on Polymarket’s own terms. Other publishers’ partner codes are theirs; we do not copy them. The honest user-facing line is still US access via CFTC-regulated QCEX — official Place a Trade names the Portfolio tab, official Monitor Your Positions names open positions with contracts held, average entry, current market, and potential payout, an open position is contracts you hold and an open order is unfilled size, this is not the public book, this is not sportsbook or investment advice, and anything those public pages do not print is not a label or a number we invent.
