US adults who already have a Polymarket US account and now want to switch how cash amounts display — USD versus another listed unit if public help or the live Settings page shows one. This is not how to tell cash from buying power, not how to read your Polymarket portfolio, not how to withdraw, not how to deposit, and not how to tell the website from the app. Those pages are the withdrawable-versus-tied-up split, the whole Portfolio screen, the bank off-ramp, the funding rails, and the surface split. This page is only the display label on the US desk. Polymarket is the only live outbound here.
What “display currency” means on the US desk
Official What is Polymarket US? publishes the trading unit. Official Odds Display is a different toggle. Official Check Your Balance is still the cash rule after any label change.

Official What is Polymarket US?: the US product is a fiat, CFTC-regulated designated contract market, and all trading is conducted in US dollars. Official Glossary calls position value a real-time dollar value and cash balance the funds not tied to open positions. Official Check Your Balance: that cash is what you can trade or withdraw back to the original deposit source. Those pages teach a dollar cash row. They do not teach a second retail unit next to it.
Odds Display is a different control — prices, not the cash unit

Official Odds Display: from the home screen, tap the Odds icon at the top right and select price (¢) or percent chance (%). Official copy: all display formats show the same market information — only the way it is shown changes. Official Glossary: odds display is how prices are shown, such as price, percent chance, or American odds. That icon changes how a Yes/No looks. It does not rename the cash row, and it is not a currency converter.
A second listed unit is not confirmable on public US retail help
No named Display currency row
Official US retail pages we checked do not reprint Display currency, Currency, Units, Preferred currency, or a menu of EUR, GBP, or another listed unit. Official Get Account Balances names currency (e.g., USD) and a list of balances by currency — API language, not a confirmed phone chip. We will not invent that menu. If the live Settings, Profile, or Account screen already prints Currency, Display currency, or Units and lists another unit, use only that live list.

Official How do I contact support? puts in-app chat inside account settings. Official US Two-Factor Authentication help uses that same door for a different row. That is the published US settings door — not a Currency header we invent. If the live Settings, Security, Account, or Profile screen prints Display currency, Currency, Units, or a similar cash-unit label, use that live word. If it does not, stay on the live screen. Do not hunt a folder we typed.

Official Website vs App: US residents deposit and trade in the Polymarket US app, not on polymarket.com. Official What is Polymarket US? splits that international crypto product from the US fiat desk. Official international help can name USDC or pUSD on that other product. Changing a unit there is not a confirmed change of how the US (QCEX) cash row prints. Do not treat a crypto ticker on polymarket.com as the US display-currency control.

Switching how a cash amount is labelled — if a live Currency / Units row even exists — does not print an FX rate, does not create a second wallet, and does not turn USD cash into a different settlement unit. Official Check Your Balance still treats cash as the money not tied to an open position. We do not reprint a live figure or invent a conversion spread.

Official Withdrawal Rules: an uncleared deposit can still look spendable as funds in flight. Confirm you are on the US (QCEX) app — not polymarket.com
This how-to is the compliant US fiat desk. Official Website vs App: US residents sign in and trade in the Polymarket US app; polymarket.com is a different product and US residents cannot deposit or trade there. Official What is Polymarket US? is the CFTC-regulated designated contract market, and all trading is conducted in US dollars. Official international USDC / pUSD labels belong to that other product. Age is 18+ with KYC — not the 21+ / 1-800-GAMBLER frame on our DFS pages. As of our June 2026 check Polymarket was reported unavailable in Arizona, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada and Ohio. Florida is a green-light state.

Official contact help and Official US 2FA help both send you to account settings. Official US retail pages we checked do not reprint Display currency, Currency, Units, or Preferred currency. We will not invent that header. If the live Settings, Security, Account, or Profile screen prints one of those words — or another cash-unit label — use that live control. If it lists USD and another unit, pick only a unit that screen actually lists. If no such row exists, stop. Official What is Polymarket US? already publishes USD as the trading unit.

Official Get Account Balances names currency (e.g., USD) and balances by currency on the API — institutional language, not a confirmed phone button. Official Odds Display is the other display control, and it is prices, not cash units. Official international USDC / pUSD copy belongs to the other product.
If the live Settings / Profile screen uses different words for the same action, follow the live screen. That is the rule this site uses when a control is not confirmable on public US help.
Blocked and contested states
Reported unavailable as of June 2026: Arizona, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada and Ohio. That list is not a promise it stays still — litigation around sports event contracts in particular can narrow or shift access. A display-label change does not unlock a listed state. If you are in Florida or another green-light state, still confirm account settings opens before you send money.
Age is 18+ with identity verification. That is a different gate from the 21+ / responsible-gambling frame on our DFS pages, because these are traded financial instruments.
