Who this guide is for
US adults whose Polymarket KYC has cleared — or is about to — and who now need to attach a funding source on the US desk before they send money. This is not how to deposit, not how to withdraw, not how to cash out, not KYC, and not how to buy your first NFL ticket. Those pages are the on-ramp, the off-ramp, the live-ticket exit, the ID file, and the first swipe. This page is only the attach step: where official help puts Funding Methods / Pay With, what you add versus what you already verified, and why a linked rail is not a completed deposit. Polymarket is the only live outbound here.
Add versus already verified
Official Create an Account is identity. Official Fund Your Account is the cashier. Official “Why can’t I withdraw my promotional credit?” is the page that names “link a payment method” as its own gate — then a separate initial deposit. Do not mash those into one button.
Already verified — KYC, not a cashier rail
Official Create an Account
Official US docs require Know Your Customer checks before you can deposit or trade. That file is your legal name, date of birth, residential address, and — if the app asks — a government ID and selfie. Clearing KYC does not attach a debit card or a bank. The ID walkthrough is How to complete Polymarket KYC. This page starts after that gate, or tells you to stop if it is still open.
What you add — a funding source in your own name
Official Fund Your Account
Official consumer US help lists three rails you can attach or open: debit card, bank transfer (ACH, linked via Aeropay), and wire transfer. Official Fund Your Account: deposits must come from accounts in your own name and may be subject to verification checks. The name on the card or bank should match the name you already verified. Adding that source is not extra credit in your account.
What you have not done yet — a completed deposit
Official promo-withdraw FAQ
Official “Why can’t I withdraw my promotional credit?” splits the cashier in two: first “link a payment method,” then “make an initial deposit.” Official debit and ACH help then ask for an amount and Confirm. Official wire help then asks you to send from your bank. Linking or opening instructions is not cash on the exchange. Sending money is How to deposit on Polymarket.
Official US help · KYC ≠ linked rail · linked rail ≠ deposit
Where payment methods live
Hard rule: if official US help names a screen, we name it. If a label is not on those pages, we describe the action and tell you to follow the live Deposit / Pay With control. Official What is Polymarket US? is the fiat desk this path belongs to.
Profile, then Deposit, then Pay With / Funding Methods
Official Fund Your Account
Official Fund Your Account and the Deposit Methods overview: from the home screen tap the Profile icon at the bottom center, tap Deposit on your Profile page, then tap Pay With and select debit card, bank transfer (ACH), or wire transfer. Official debit, ACH, and wire pages name that same picker as Funding Methods. Those are the labels public US help prints. We could not confirm a published standalone Payment Methods or Wallet-settings screen beyond that path.
US app — not polymarket.com
Official Website vs App
Official Website vs App and Official What is Polymarket US?: US residents deposit and trade in the Polymarket US app on the CFTC-regulated fiat desk. The international website is a different product. Do not hunt for a US debit or ACH link on a browser tab pointed at polymarket.com and assume that rail covers the account you just verified.
If the live label differs, use the live control
Not a second invented header
If the live US app labels the same action Wallet, Payment methods, Pay With, or Funding Methods, use the control on screen. Official Withdraw Funds names Withdraw To for payout destinations — that is the off-ramp, not this attach step. We will not invent a Settings → Payment Methods click path those consumer pages do not print.
Official Fund Your Account · Profile → Deposit → Pay With · confirm live labels
Rails official US consumer help names — and what it does not
Official Deposit Methods names three. We list those three because the consumer pages list them. We do not add a fourth from a partner API or another publisher. Deposit limits, arrival clocks, and wire account fields live on How to deposit on Polymarket (US) — this page does not reprint them.
Debit card
Named on official Debit Card help
Official Debit Card help: in Funding Methods, select Debit Card, then enter your card information in the required fields. That page then asks for a deposit amount and Confirm. Entering the card is the add. Confirm with an amount is the deposit — a later how-to. Official consumer help does not name a card brand. We will not invent Visa, Mastercard, or any other network.
Bank transfer (ACH)
Named on official ACH help
Official Bank Transfer (ACH) help: in Funding Methods, select Bank Transfer, then securely link your bank account via Aeropay. That link is the add. The same page then asks for an amount and Confirm — that Confirm is the deposit, not the link. Official troubleshooting: if an ACH transfer failed on incorrect details, re-link the bank and retry. We do not invent a bank brand.
Wire transfer
Named on official Wire Transfer help
Official Wire Transfer help: in Funding Methods, select Wire Transfer, then tap View Wire Instructions to see your unique details. Opening those instructions is not a completed deposit. Sending the wire from a U.S. bank in your own name is How to deposit on Polymarket. We do not reprint routing numbers, account numbers, or a minimum here — confirm the live instructions before you send anything.
Crypto — not a listed US consumer rail
Official What is Polymarket US?
Official What is Polymarket US? splits the international crypto product from the US fiat, CFTC-regulated exchange. Official Fund Your Account lists debit, ACH, and wire — not a self-custody wallet, a chain, or a token. We will not paste an international USDC on-ramp onto this page. If you are on the US (QCEX) account, you are attaching a fiat source, not a wallet address.
Official US consumer help · debit / ACH / wire · no invented crypto or card brand
The US add-a-method sequence
-
Step 1
Confirm you are on the US (QCEX) app — and that your state is open
This attach step is for the compliant US product, not the international crypto desk. Official Website vs App: US residents sign in and fund in the Polymarket US app. As of our June 2026 check Polymarket was reported unavailable in Arizona, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada and Ohio. Florida is a green-light state. Confirm the app lets you reach Deposit / Pay With before you type card or bank details. Age is 18+ with KYC — not the 21+ / 1-800-GAMBLER frame on our DFS pages.
-
Step 2
Finish KYC first — identity is not a payment method
Official US docs require Know Your Customer checks before you can deposit or trade. Official Create an Account is the identity file: legal name, date of birth, address, and a government ID / selfie if the app asks. That is already-verified identity, not a linked debit card or bank. If review is still pending, stop here — How to complete Polymarket KYC. A publisher link is how this site is supported; it is not extra credit in your account.
-
Step 3
Open Profile, then Deposit, then Pay With — or the live Funding Methods label
Official Fund Your Account: from the home screen tap the Profile icon at the bottom center, tap Deposit on your Profile page, then tap Pay With. Official debit, ACH, and wire pages call that picker Funding Methods. Official Website vs App: that path is the US app, not polymarket.com. If the live screen says Wallet, Payment methods, or Funding Methods, use the live label. We will not invent a second Settings path.
-
Step 4
Attach one official rail — debit details, Aeropay bank link, or View Wire Instructions
Official consumer US help lists three: debit card (enter card information), bank transfer / ACH (securely link via Aeropay), or wire transfer (View Wire Instructions). Use an account in your own name — official Fund Your Account and official wire help both require that match. Official US help does not list crypto, Apple Pay, or PayPal on the consumer Fund Your Account page. If the live Pay With screen shows a method we cannot confirm there, follow the live label and do not treat this page as a fourth-rail list.
-
Step 5
Stop before Confirm if you only meant to add the method — a link is not a deposit
Official debit and ACH help continue into an amount and Confirm. Official wire help continues into sending from your bank. Official “Why can’t I withdraw my promotional credit?” names “link a payment method” and “make an initial deposit” as two separate gates. Attaching the rail is this page. Sending money — and any instant buying power that follows — is How to deposit on Polymarket. Event contracts can settle at zero. Nothing here is investment advice.
A linked method is not cash — and not a withdraw destination yet
Official debit and ACH help continue from the attach step into an amount and Confirm. Official wire help continues into View Wire Instructions and a send from your bank. Those later clicks are the deposit. Until that deposit fully clears, official Withdrawal Rules call the balance funds in flight: you may be able to trade; you cannot treat it as a finished off-ramp. Instant buying power is not withdrawable buying power.
Official Withdrawal Rules also lock payouts to the same payment method used for the deposit. Official Withdraw Funds returns cash to that original debit card, ACH bank, or wire source. Attaching a second rail does not let you redirect a later withdraw. How cash leaves is How to withdraw from Polymarket (US); selling a live ticket first is How to cash out on Polymarket (US).
Official deposit troubleshooting: a declined debit is often incorrect card details; a failed ACH is often incorrect bank details — re-link and retry. Support is support@polymarket.us or in-app chat. We will not invent a fee table, a card brand, or a guaranteed link clock.
Blocked and contested states
Reported unavailable as of June 2026: Arizona, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada and Ohio. That list is not a promise it stays still — litigation around sports event contracts in particular can narrow or shift access. If you are in a listed state, do not attach a card or bank on the assumption the desk is open. If you are in Florida or another green-light state, still confirm Deposit / Pay With appears before you type funding details.
Age is 18+ with identity verification. That is a different gate from the 21+ / responsible-gambling frame on our DFS pages, because these are traded financial instruments. If you also want NFL DFS, start at the picks hub — those cashier rules do not carry over. Compare platforms on the prediction-markets hub.
What you will not get from this page
A dollar welcome match, a paste-this promo code, a crypto-wallet how-to, an Apple Pay or PayPal rail official consumer US help does not name, a card brand we invented, a reprinted deposit-limit table, live wire account numbers, a cloned deposit / withdraw / cash-out / KYC / first-ticket walkthrough, or claim buttons for Kalshi, DraftKings, FanDuel, Underdog, Sleeper, PrizePicks, Hard Rock or BetRivers. We could not verify a standing official US welcome bonus on Polymarket’s own terms. Other publishers’ partner codes are theirs; we do not copy them. The honest user-facing line is still US access via CFTC-regulated QCEX — finish KYC, open Profile → Deposit → Pay With / Funding Methods, attach debit details or an Aeropay bank link or View Wire Instructions, follow the live label if a control is not printed, and treat Confirm / send as a later deposit — not as this attach step.
