Who this guide is for
US adults who can already open Polymarket and now need to hide already-resolved tickets so browse is open books only — where resolved / closed / ended lives if official help or the live browse labels it, why that hide is not a category filter, and why it is not the clock on one opened ticket. This is not how to filter markets, not how to sort markets by ending soon, not how to check when a market ends, and not how to read a voided or canceled market. Where resolved / closed / ended lives
Hard rule: if official US help names the control, we name it. If it does not, we describe the action — look for a live status hide, or stay on the active list and skip cards that are not Open. Official Browse Markets: find active markets on the home screen, then scroll the top categories. That published default is already the open pile — not a mixed board of every ticket the desk has ever graded. Official Place a Trade, Official Events & Markets, and Official Glossary do not reprint a retail tab, tile, or definition labelled Resolved, Closed, Ended, Hide resolved, or Event Status on the swipe we checked. We will not invent that header.
If the live US app shows a resolved / closed / ended control, use that live word
Describe the action
The action is: on the home-screen list (or the live browse you are already in), look for a control that leaves only tickets still taking orders. If the live US product prints Resolved, Closed, Ended, Active, Event Status, Hide resolved, or Open only, follow that live label so finished cards drop off. If the control is missing or named differently, stay on the active home list Official Browse Markets already describes, then skip any card that is not still Open. Do not hunt a tab we invent.
API closed / active / archived fields are not a phone hide menu

Official Markets API publishes active, closed, and archived filters. Closed=true returns markets that have closed (resolved or expired); closed=false returns open markets. Those are how a developer can request a list with finished tickets left out. They are not a home-screen Hide resolved chip we will paste onto the US swipe. A field name is not a retail button.
International Event Status / Resolved is not the US desk

The public international browse page (polymarket.com/predictions) prints Event Status with Active, Resolved, and All. Official Website vs App: polymarket.com is a different product, and US residents cannot deposit or trade there. We will not mash that Event Status row onto the US app as if Official Browse Markets printed it. Confirm the live US list after KYC. If the sports desk is hidden where you live, stop.

Open versus already finished
Official Prices & Market Data is the published retail split: Open still takes orders; Expired has ended and settled. Official Market Resolution is when the result is confirmed. A resolution date on the card is not automatically a finished ticket — that one-ticket read lives on how to check when a market ends.

Official Prices & Market Data: Open means the market is accepting orders and actively trading. Expired means the market has ended and settled. Those are the published retail words for “still a ticket” versus “already finished.” Official Market Resolution uses resolve after the official result is publicly confirmed. Official Markets API uses closed for resolved or expired. We reprint those published words. We will not invent a browse chip labelled Resolved if the live US list does not print one.
A resolution date on the card is not automatically a finished ticket
Date ≠ hidden
Official Browse Markets prints a resolution date on every card so you can scan when that market is scheduled to become eligible to grade. A nearer date is not the same as Expired. Official Market Resolution: markets stay open until the event is over. A card can still print Open on that date, or it can print closed before that date if the event is already over. Hiding finished tickets is a list action. Reading one stamp is How to check when a market ends. Do not mash the two.
Do not invent a resolved pile or a finished-ticket count
No invented slate
We will not type a “247 resolved this week” figure, a live closed pile, or a 2026 final we invent. Official Market Rules teaching lines stay labelled as teaching copy. If search, the category strip, and any live status control all still show a finished card, the desk may still be listing it — that is not a prompt to invent a Hide resolved tab Official Browse Markets does not print.

Official Browse Markets: tapping a top-strip category (official copy names professional football; Official What is Polymarket US? names NFL) leaves the mixed home list. That is a category filter. Hiding resolved / closed / ended tickets — if the live app shows that control, or if you skip Expired cards by eye — keeps the sport you are already in and drops tickets that are no longer Open. Dropping Expired cards can still leave a player prop, a moneyline, and a season sentence in the same scroll if those books are still Open. You have not picked a sport, a player, or a winner sentence. Official Prices & Market Data does not reprint Voided as a market state. Official Sports FAQs settle some canceled-and-not-replayed paths at last fair market price. Reported unavailable as of June 2026: Arizona, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada and Ohio. That list is not a promise it stays still — litigation around sports event contracts in particular can narrow or shift access. If you are in a listed state, do not treat an open-only card as a desk you can trade. If you are in Florida or another green-light state, still confirm the app lets you finish KYC and that the ticket actually appears — and still accepts orders — before you send money.
