Who this guide is for
US adults who can already find Polymarket and now need the published cost stack before they size a trade. This is not how to sell a ticket early, not how to cash out, not how to deposit, and not how to read a contract. Those pages are the exchange exit, the bank off-ramp, the on-ramp, and the ticket. This page is the price of using the desk: the official trading formula, the bid/ask gap, and what withdrawal docs actually print. Polymarket is the only live outbound on this page.
Three different costs
“Fees” is three different numbers on Polymarket US. Do not mash them into one juice line. Official What is Polymarket US? is the fiat, CFTC-regulated desk — not the international crypto product, and not a sportsbook. See prediction markets vs sportsbooks if you are looking for a house vig table. There isn’t one.
Trading fee (exchange schedule)
Published formula
Official US Fee Schedule: a taker fee or a maker rebate is computed when a trade executes. The formula is Fee = Θ × C × p × (1 − p). C is the number of contracts, p is the fill price from $0.01 to $0.99, and Θ (theta) is the published coefficient. Taker theta is 0.06. Maker rebate theta is −0.0125. The charge is highest near a coin-flip price and smallest near the extremes. This is not a flat “10 bps” line — that number is not on the US schedule we checked.
Spread (the book, not a line item)
Not a Polymarket fee
Official Spreads: you buy at the ask and sell at the bid. The gap between those two prices is the spread. Polymarket US does not publish a dollar spread schedule because other traders post the book. A wide gap costs you on the way in and on the way out even when the exchange fee is small. We do not reprint a live bid or ask.
Cashier rails (deposit / withdraw)
What docs print
Official Withdraw Funds is titled as withdrawing your cash balance “securely and for free.” Official Deposit Methods list debit, ACH, and wire and print limits and typical clear times — they do not print a Polymarket deposit-fee table. Your bank or card issuer may charge its own fee; that number is not on the US pages we checked. The click paths live on the deposit and cash-out how-tos. This page does not repeat them.

Official US trading schedule
Official Fee Schedule is exchange-wide from 12:00 a.m. ET Wednesday, July 1, 2026. The formula is symmetric around $0.50. Fees and rebates round to the nearest cent with banker’s rounding (round half to even). When one aggressive order walks several resting orders, each fill is rounded, then adjusted so the total commission never exceeds the banker’s rounding of the cumulative exact fee — the adjustment can only reduce a fill’s charge.
Taker fee
Θ = 0.06
$1.50 per 100-lot at $0.50
You pay when your order takes liquidity — it executes immediately against a resting order. Official 100-lot table: $1.50 at a $0.50 fill, $0.54 at $0.10 or $0.90, $0.06 at $0.01 or $0.99. Official FAQ: the fee is deducted from your balance at the time of the trade.
Maker rebate
Θ = −0.0125
$0.31 back per 100-lot at $0.50
You receive a rebate when your resting order is the one that gets hit. Official 100-lot table: $0.31 at a $0.50 fill, $0.11 at $0.10 or $0.90, $0.01 at $0.01 or $0.99. Official FAQ: the rebate is credited at the time of the fill. Official header table prints the $0.50 max as −$0.31.

Official worked examples
These three rows are the examples Polymarket US printed. They are teaching fills, not tonight’s NFL board, and not a P&L we invented.
Buy 1,000 contracts at $0.10
Official example 1
Cheap contract. Official Fee Schedule: p × (1 − p) = 0.10 × 0.90 = 0.09. Buyer as taker: 0.06 × 1,000 × 0.10 × 0.90 = −$5.40. Seller as maker: 0.0125 × 1,000 × 0.10 × 0.90 = +$1.12.
Buy 1,000 contracts at $0.50
Official example 5
Coin-flip price — official docs say this is where the fee is highest per contract because p × (1 − p) = 0.25. Buyer as taker: 0.06 × 1,000 × 0.50 × 0.50 = −$15.00. Seller as maker: 0.0125 × 1,000 × 0.50 × 0.50 = +$3.12.
Buy 1,000 contracts at $0.65
Official example 2
Likely outcome. Higher price, smaller uncertainty factor than midpoint. Buyer as taker: 0.06 × 1,000 × 0.65 × 0.35 = −$13.65. Seller as maker: 0.0125 × 1,000 × 0.65 × 0.35 = +$2.84.
Official 100-lot excerpt
The US schedule publishes a full price table from $0.01 to $0.99. We reprint seven published rows so you can see the shape. The rest of the table lives on the official Fee Schedule — we will not paste all 99 lines here as if they were a live ticket.
| Price | Trade value (100-lot) | Taker pays | Maker receives |

When the fee is zero — and when it is not charged
Official FAQ on that same schedule: fees are rounded to the nearest cent, so a small fill or a price near $0.00 or $1.00 can round to $0.00. Fees are charged only when a trade executes. If the order is canceled, expires, or is rejected, there is no fee. That is not a “free trade” promo. It is the rounding and the execution rule those docs print.
A retail swipe that lifts the ask is a taker fill. Resting size that later gets hit is a maker fill. Official sell-early how-to is the exit path; this page does not repeat bid-versus-ask click steps.
Published taker-volume rebate
Official Fee Schedule also prints a taker rebate for participants who traded more than $250,000 of taker volume in the prior calendar month. The tier for a given month uses that prior-month notional. Rebates are paid weekly. Official copy also allows accelerated tier placement from verifiable trailing-30-day volume on another prediction market. This is not a welcome match and not a code on this page.
| Prior calendar-month taker volume | Taker-fee rebate |
|---|---|
| $250,000 – $999,999 | 10% |
| $1,000,000 – $9,999,999 | 25% |
| $10,000,000+ | 50% |

Spread is a book gap
Official Spreads: the bid is the highest price buyers will pay; the ask is the lowest price sellers will accept; the spread is the gap. You pay the ask to get in and receive the bid to get out. A tight book is cheaper to cross. A sleepy book is more expensive even when theta is unchanged.
No published dollar spread schedule
Other traders post size. Polymarket US does not set the price and does not take the other side. Official docs do not print “the NFL moneyline spread is X cents.” We will not invent one. Official Price Slippage is the walk down a thin book — that is a fill quality issue, not a second exchange fee.
Spread plus trading fee is the all-in cross
Crossing a wide ask, then paying the taker formula on that fill, is two costs stacked. Holding to settlement avoids a second book cross; it does not erase the fee you already paid to get in, and a loser still settles at $0.00. The sell-versus-settle choice is the sell-early page. This page stops at naming the two costs.

Withdrawal rails — what is published
Official Withdraw Funds lists three methods and typical arrival windows. That is the cashier schedule we can confirm. It is not a how-to. FIFO, funds-in-flight, and the Profile → Withdraw click path live on how to cash out.
Debit card
Typical arrival 3–4 business days
Official Withdraw Funds: funds return to the same card used for the deposit. Typical arrival is 3–4 business days after you request the withdrawal — and only after that deposit has fully cleared. Official overview does not print a debit withdrawal minimum, maximum, or dollar fee.
Bank transfer (ACH)
Typical arrival 3–4 business days
Official Withdraw Funds: funds return to the same bank account used for the deposit. Typical arrival is 3–4 business days. That is the published clock. We do not invent a same-day ACH window, a posted ACH withdrawal minimum, or a posted ACH withdrawal maximum.
Wire transfer
Typical arrival 1 business day
Official Withdraw Funds: typical arrival is 1 business day, and the table adds “contact support if needed.” We do not invent a wire-withdrawal fee, a published withdrawal minimum, or a published withdrawal maximum. The $1,000 minimum on official Deposit Methods is a deposit figure, not a withdraw figure.
Official US Withdraw Funds · “for free” · no invented min / max / same-day ACH
Deposit side — no published Polymarket fee table
Official Deposit Methods list debit, ACH (Aeropay), and wire. They print a $50,000 daily cap on debit and ACH, a $1,000 wire minimum with no published wire max, and typical clear times (3–4 business days for debit and ACH; typically 1 business day for wire after receipt and verification). They do not print a Polymarket-charged deposit fee. We will not invent one. The sequence lives on how to deposit.
What those pages do not publish
Hard rule: if the official US Fee Schedule or cashier help does not print the number, we do not invent it.
A flat bps trading rate
The US Fee Schedule we checked uses theta × contracts × p × (1 − p). It does not print “10 basis points” or any other flat bps line. Third-party pages that quote a flat rate are not this schedule.
A Polymarket deposit-fee table
Official Deposit Methods list debit, ACH, and wire, plus daily limits and typical clear times. They do not print a Polymarket-charged deposit fee. We will not invent one. Bank or card-issuer fees are outside what those pages publish.
A dollar withdrawal-fee table, minimum, or maximum
Official Withdraw Funds says “for free.” That is the cashier line we can confirm. We could not find a published dollar withdrawal-fee schedule, a standing withdrawal minimum, or a standing withdrawal maximum.
A settlement or “sell-early” surcharge
Official Market Settlement sets winners to $1.00 and losers to $0.00. Official “Can I sell early?” does not add a second fee on top of the trading schedule. We could not confirm a published resolution cut or an early-exit lockup on the pages we checked.

Blocked and contested states
Official US help does not publish a complete blocked-state table. The public US App Store listing (Blockratize Inc) currently footnotes that trading is unavailable in Nevada. That footnote can move. Sports markets remain the most legally contested category anywhere — including in states the storefront does not name. If the ticket does not appear, do not plan a fill, a fee, or a payout. The eligibility page is Polymarket blocked states (US).
Age is 18+ with identity verification. That is a different gate from the 21+ / responsible-gambling frame on our DFS pages, because these are traded financial instruments. If you also want NFL DFS, start at the picks hub — those cashier rules do not carry over. Compare platforms on the prediction-markets hub.
What you will not get from this page
A dollar welcome match, a paste-this promo code, an invented bps rate, a deposit-fee we could not find, a withdrawal minimum we could not find, a same-day ACH clock, a live NFL bid, a cloned cash-out or sell-early walkthrough, or claim buttons for Kalshi, DraftKings, FanDuel, Underdog, Sleeper, PrizePicks, Hard Rock or BetRivers. We could not verify a standing official US welcome bonus on Polymarket’s own terms. Other publishers’ partner codes are theirs; we do not copy them. The honest user-facing line is still US access via CFTC-regulated QCEX — takers pay Θ 0.06 × C × p × (1 − p) on a fill, makers receive a −0.0125 rebate, the spread is the book, withdraw docs say “for free,” and anything those pages do not print is not a number we invent.
