How to Read a Multi-Outcome Market on Polymarket (US 2026)

Several named rows on one event — a winner field, several teams, or several ranges. Each row is its own ticket. Not a parlay, and not a live board.

By Scott · Last verified August 8, 2026

Trading involves risk — each row can settle at zero

Polymarket offers CFTC-regulated event contracts: financial/derivatives products, not sportsbook bets and not daily fantasy. You can lose money, including your entire stake. A listed percent on one row is not a locked payout and not a parlay multiplier. Nothing on this page is investment advice. For adults 18+ with KYC. Sports markets are the most contested category; state availability can change. DFS pages on this site use a separate 21+ / 1-800-GAMBLER frame — do not mix the two.

Advertising disclosure: the claim button is an affiliate link. We may earn a commission if you sign up through it, at no extra cost to you. That never changes our ratings, and it is not a user bonus.

Who this guide is for

US adults who can already open a Polymarket ticket and now need the grouped board — a winner field, several teams, or several ranges listed as rows — before they click. This is not how to read Yes/No prices, not how to read a moneyline, not how to read a player prop, not how to buy your first NFL ticket, and not how to read implied probability. Those pages are the cents, the two-way winner sentence, the player sentence, the first swipe, and the 32¢-as-32% read. This page is only the event with more than one Yes/No: how to find it if public docs or the live browse label it, that each row is its own ticket, and that the percents do not have to sum like a sportsbook parlay. Polymarket is the only live outbound on this page.

What a grouped / multi-outcome board looks like

Official Events & Markets still calls each ticket a single yes/no. The change is how many of those tickets sit on one event. Official Sports FAQs and Official Asset Master are where a winner field, a 3-way, and several ranges are named. We reprint those published names. We do not invent a live stack.

One event. Several Yes/No tickets on that event.

Official Events & Markets

Official Events & Markets: a market is the actual thing you trade — a single yes/no question. One event can have multiple markets attached. That is the published US stack: series → event → market. A board that lists several teams, several numbered ranges, or a winner field is still that stack. It is not one sportsbook slip with many legs. Each printed sentence is its own market.

A winner field, several teams, or several ranges

Official Sports FAQs + Asset Master

Official Sports FAQs name Future as who will win a championship, award, or tournament — teaching example “Will the Lakers win the 2026 NBA Championship?” Official Winner (w/ ties) is three contracts per game: Team A Win, Team B Win, Draw. Official Asset Master’s data-guide examples put several instruments on one event: Athletic Tie as three instruments (team, draw, team); Title Event / Title Award / Election Winner as Group (Exclusive); Athletic Spread and Total Score as Group (Directional) with various numbered strikes. Those are docs examples — not a live 2026 board we reprint.

“Multi-outcome” is our teaching phrase — not a confirmed retail stamp

Describe the action

Official Browse Markets names the home-screen category strip and, on each market, the question, the Yes and No prices, and a resolution date. It does not reprint a retail tab labelled Multi-outcome, Grouped, or Field. Official Asset Master prints Group (Exclusive), Group (Directional), and Group (Independent) as developer market-structure names. We will not paste those codes onto a home-screen chip. The action is the same: open an event that lists several named outcomes as rows, then read one row.

Official US docs · one event, several markets · no invented Multi-outcome tab · no live field

How to find the grouped event

Official Browse Markets is the home-screen category strip. If a live chip is not on those pages, we describe the action instead of inventing the label. Finding any NFL market — search versus the hub — lives on How to find an NFL market. This page only lands you on the event with several named rows.

Start on browse — then open one event, not one logo pile

Official Browse Markets

Official Browse Markets: find active markets on the home screen, then scroll the top categories. Official copy names professional football and other listed sports. Official What is Polymarket US? names NFL. If the live US product prints Sports, Football, or another label, follow that live Sports/NFL label. If the sports desk is hidden where you live, stop. Finding any NFL market — search versus the hub — lives on How to find an NFL market. This page only lands you on the grouped event.

If docs or the live browse label it, follow that label

Published names, then the live chip

Official Sports FAQs label a championship / award / tournament ticket Future. Official Events & Markets still calls each row a market. Official Asset Master labels some products Group (Exclusive) or Group (Directional). If the live US app chips Future, Winner, 3-way, or just lists several team names or several printed ranges under one event title, follow that live label. If it does not print “multi-outcome,” do not hunt a header we invent — open the event whose board is several named rows instead of one Yes/No.

A two-team “Will [team] win?” is the wrong how-to

Not the moneyline page

Official Events & Markets teaching moneyline is a single “Will the Chiefs win?” Yes/No. Official Asset Master calls Athletic Event a Single (Binary). That ticket-read lives on How to read a moneyline. This page is the board with more than that one sentence: a field of teams, a 3-way wrapper, or several ranges. Do not mash the two-way winner how-to onto a list of eight names.

Official US docs · follow live Future / Winner / 3-way labels · no invented browse tab

Each row is its own ticket

Official Place a Trade is still a Yes or a No on one printed question. The list of names does not change that. It changes which event Yes is buying. The cents on that Yes live on How to read Yes/No prices.

Tap one row. That row is the market.

Official Place a Trade

Official Place a Trade: from the home screen you browse, tap any market to open it, then select Yes if you think that printed event happens or No if you think it does not. On a grouped board, the row you tap is the ticket — that named team, that named nominee, that printed range. Opening the event is not a fill. Tapping a second row is a second ticket, not a second leg on the first.

Yes is that printed outcome — not the whole field

Official Market Settlement

Official Events & Markets and Official Market Settlement: each market settles at $1.00 if that outcome happens and $0.00 if it does not. Official Sports FAQs on Winner (w/ ties): exactly one of the three contracts settles at $1.00, the others at $0.00. Buying Yes on Team A is not buying the field, and it is not automatically No on every other row. You hold the contract you tapped. We do not reprint a live team price.

Mutually exclusive is a published structure — not a parlay button

Official Mutually Exclusive Collateral Return

Official Mutually Exclusive Collateral Return: mutually exclusive events have multiple possible outcomes, but only one can happen — elections (one candidate), championships (one team), award winners (one nominee). That is why a winner-field board lists several rows. It is not a sportsbook “write two names on one slip” control. We will not clone that page’s margin examples onto this ticket-read. Confirm the Rules block on the row in front of you.

Official Place a Trade · one row = one market · no invented parlay toggle

The percents do not have to sum like a sportsbook parlay

A field of names can look like it “should” add to 100%. The live books are why that shortcut fails. Official Odds Display already prints a teaching pair that does not add to 100. We name that gap. We do not write a parlay. See prediction markets vs sportsbooks if you wanted a house multiplier. There isn’t one.

Each row has its own book — the stack is not one locked 100%

Official Odds Display example

Official Odds Display’s teaching pair is WAS 17¢ / KC 86¢ (or 17% / 86%). Those two printed numbers add to 103, not a clean 100. That is a docs example — not tonight’s field, and not a promise a list of teams or ranges will sum to 100%. Official Prices & Market Data: each contract is priced between $0 and $1 as that market’s implied chance. Last prints on different rows can come from different matches at different times. Do not treat “100 minus the other names” as the fill on this row.

Two rows are two tickets — not a sportsbook parlay

Not a combined slip

A sportsbook parlay multiplies several legs into one ticket. Tapping Yes on Team A and Yes on Team B here is two separate event contracts, each with its own ask, its own size, and its own settlement. Official Place a Trade is still one market, then Yes or No, then a dollar amount. We will not invent a parlay multiplier, a same-game parlay toggle, or a “field juice” table those US pages do not print. See prediction markets vs sportsbooks if you wanted a house parlay. That is a different product.

Displayed percents can sit away from the ask you will pay

Headline ≠ fill

Official Browse Markets shows current Yes and No prices on the market. Official Prices & Market Data: a market order fills at the best available price on the other side right now — the BBO. Official Odds Display can show that same information as percent chance. A row that looks like “32%” is a display on that instrument, not a locked sportsbook hold and not a promise the rest of the field makes 68. How to read Yes/No prices and How to read implied probability are those numbers. This page only tells you the listed percents do not have to sum. We do not reprint a live stack.

Official Odds Display 17¢ / 86¢ · two rows ≠ one parlay · no invented field-sum formula

How you pick one outcome

Official Place a Trade is still Yes or No, a dollar amount or Max, review, swipe. That click path lives on How to buy your first NFL ticket. This page only gets you onto the right row. The 32¢-as-32% read is How to read implied probability.

Read the printed sentence on that row word-for-word

That name, that range, that event

Confirm which participant, which championship or game, and whether the row is a named winner or a numbered range. Official Sports FAQs Future teaching copy is a championship sentence. Official Asset Master Group (Directional) examples are numbered spread or total strikes — several ranges as several instruments. If the name or the number does not match what you meant, you are on the wrong ticket. We do not invent a 2026 field or a half-point we did not see on a public page.

Map Yes and No onto that row — then stop treating the list as one bet

Official Place a Trade

Yes is that printed outcome. No is the complementary side of that same sentence, not Yes on every other name. On a championship row, Yes is that team winning the title. On a 3-way Draw row, Yes is the draw. On a numbered-range row, Yes is that printed strike. Buying two rows is two tickets. The first swipe from a clean US account lives on How to buy your first NFL ticket. This page does not repeat that click path.

A player prop and a two-way moneyline are still different how-tos

Leave them linked

A player prop names one player and one stat. A two-way moneyline is “Will [team] win?” Official Events & Markets lists those as separate markets on the same game. A grouped winner field or a stack of ranges is this page. Do not infer the field from the moneyline, or a range stack from one printed spread. How to read a player prop and How to read a moneyline stay on their own URLs.

Official US docs · tap one row · no cloned first-ticket swipe · no live range

How to read a multi-outcome market before you click

  1. Step 1

Open browse and find a grouped / multi-outcome event — if docs or the live browse label it

Official Browse Markets: find active markets on the home screen, then scroll the top categories. Official Events & Markets: the event is the container; markets are the tickets. Official Sports FAQs label a championship / award / tournament ticket Future; Official Winner (w/ ties) is three contracts. Official Browse Markets does not reprint a retail Multi-outcome tab — if the live chip uses a different word, follow the live label. The action is the same: open the event that lists several named outcomes as rows (several teams, several ranges, a winner field). If the sports desk is hidden where you live, stop. We do not invent a live field.

  2. Step 2

Confirm you are looking at several named rows — not one Yes/No

A two-way “Will [team] win?” is the moneyline how-to. A player name plus a stat is the player-prop how-to. This board lists more than one printed outcome under the same event — Official Events & Markets: one event, multiple markets, each a single yes/no. Official Asset Master’s data-guide names (Group Exclusive / Directional / Independent) are not a home-screen stamp we will invent. If the title is one sentence with only Yes and No, you are on the wrong how-to.

  3. Step 3

Treat each row as its own ticket — tap one outcome, then Yes or No on that sentence

Official Place a Trade: tap any market to open it, then Yes if that printed event happens or No if it does not. Official Market Settlement: that contract settles at $1.00 or $0.00. Official Sports FAQs Winner (w/ ties): exactly one of the three contracts settles at $1.00. Buying Yes on this row is not a parlay with another row, and it is not automatically Yes on the rest of the field. The first swipe lives on How to buy your first NFL ticket. This page does not clone it.

  4. Step 4

Do not expect the listed percents to sum like a sportsbook parlay

Official Odds Display’s teaching pair (17¢ / 86¢, or 17% / 86%) does not add to 100. Official Prices & Market Data: each contract’s price is that market’s implied chance — last prints on different rows can be different clocks. Two rows are two tickets, not one multiplied slip. How to read Yes/No prices and How to read implied probability are those numbers. We will not invent a field-sum formula or a parlay table. We do not reprint a live stack.

  5. Step 5

Stop cloning the other how-tos — then look before you click

Yes/No prices, implied probability, moneyline, player-prop, and first-ticket live on their own pages. This page is only the grouped board: what it looks like, how to find it if public docs or the live browse label it, that each row is its own ticket, and that the percents do not have to sum. Event contracts can settle at zero. Trade only what you can afford to lose. Nothing here is investment advice.

Blocked and contested states

Reported unavailable as of June 2026: Arizona, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada and Ohio. That list is not a promise it stays still — litigation around sports event contracts in particular can narrow or shift access. If you are in a listed state, do not treat a grouped board as a fill on the assumption the desk is open. If you are in Florida or another green-light state, still confirm the ticket appears and still accepts orders before you send money.

Age is 18+ with identity verification. That is a different gate from the 21+ / responsible-gambling frame on our DFS pages, because these are traded financial instruments. If you also want NFL DFS, start at the picks hub — those lineup rules do not carry over. Compare platforms on the prediction-markets hub.

What you will not get from this page

A dollar welcome match, a paste-this promo code, a live field or percent stack, an invented Multi-outcome tab Official Browse Markets does not print, an invented parlay multiplier or field-sum formula, a cloned Yes/No-price / moneyline / player-prop / first-ticket / implied-probability walkthrough, or claim buttons for Kalshi, DraftKings, FanDuel, Underdog, Sleeper, PrizePicks, Hard Rock or BetRivers. We could not verify a standing official US welcome bonus on Polymarket’s own terms. Other publishers’ partner codes are theirs; we do not copy them. The honest user-facing line is still US access via CFTC-regulated QCEX — a grouped event lists several named outcomes as separate Yes/No tickets, each row is its own contract, the listed percents do not have to sum like a sportsbook parlay, and anything those public pages do not print is not a label or a formula we invent. Frequently Asked Questions

What does a multi-outcome / grouped market look like on Polymarket?
Official Events & Markets: a market is a single yes/no question, and one event can have several of those markets. The board you are reading lists more than one printed outcome — a winner field, several teams, or several numbered ranges — as separate rows. Official Sports FAQs teaching examples include Future (“Will the Lakers win the 2026 NBA Championship?”) and Winner (w/ ties) as three contracts per game. Official Asset Master’s data-guide examples include Group (Exclusive) products such as Election Winner and Title Award. Those are docs examples, not a live field. We do not invent a 2026 board.
How do I find a grouped / multi-outcome event on Polymarket?
Open browse from the home screen (Official Browse Markets: professional football and the other listed categories; Official What is Polymarket US? names NFL), then open one event whose board is several named rows. Official Sports FAQs label a championship / award / tournament ticket Future. Official Browse Markets does not reprint a retail Multi-outcome or Grouped tab — if the live chip says Future, Winner, 3-way, or just lists several teams or ranges, follow that live label. If it does not, pick the event that is not a single Yes/No. We do not invent a live field. The only live claim on this page hops through /go/polymarket.
Is each row its own ticket?
Yes. Official Place a Trade: tap any market to open it, then Yes or No on that printed sentence. Official Events & Markets: each market settles at $1.00 if that outcome happens and $0.00 if it does not. Tapping a second row is a second contract, not a second leg on the first. Official Sports FAQs Winner (w/ ties): exactly one of the three contracts settles at $1.00, the others at $0.00 — you still bought only the row you tapped.
Do the listed percents have to add up to 100%?
No. Official Odds Display’s teaching pair is 17¢ and 86¢ (17% and 86%) — 103, not 100. Official Prices & Market Data: each contract’s price is that market’s implied chance, and last prints on different rows can come from different matches. Two asks can also cost more than a dollar of complementary sides. We will not invent a formula that makes a winner field or a range stack sum to a clean 100%. How to read Yes/No prices and How to read implied probability are those numbers. This page only tells you they do not have to sum.
Is picking two rows the same as a sportsbook parlay?
No. A sportsbook parlay combines several legs into one ticket and multiplies the price. Official Place a Trade is still one market, then Yes or No, then a dollar amount. Two rows are two event contracts. Official Mutually Exclusive Collateral Return describes elections, championships, and awards as events where only one outcome can happen — that is structure, not a parlay button those US pages print. We will not invent a same-game parlay toggle.
How do I pick one outcome on a grouped board?
Tap the row whose printed sentence is the outcome you mean — that team, that nominee, that numbered range. Official Place a Trade: Yes is that event happens; No is it does not. Read the title word-for-word. Buying Yes on this row is not Yes on the rest of the field. The first swipe from a clean US account lives on How to buy your first NFL ticket. This page does not clone that click path. We do not reprint a live price.
Is this the same as the Yes/No-price, moneyline, player-prop, first-ticket, or implied-probability how-to?
No. Yes/No prices are cents as implied probability on one ticket. Implied probability is why a 32¢ Yes is about 32%. Moneyline is the two-way winner sentence. Player-prop is one player and one stat. First-ticket is the first swipe from a clean US account. This page is only the grouped board: more than one Yes/No on the same event, each row its own ticket, and the listed percents do not have to sum like a sportsbook parlay. We link out instead of cloning those click paths.
Can I trade a multi-outcome market on Polymarket in every US state?
No. As of our June 2026 check Polymarket was reported unavailable in Arizona, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada and Ohio. Florida is a green-light state. Sports markets are the most legally contested category anywhere. Confirm the ticket still appears and still accepts orders before you treat a listed row as a fill.
Which claim button is actually live on this page?
Polymarket only. The claim button hops through /go/polymarket. There is no /go/kalshi, DraftKings, FanDuel, Underdog, Sleeper, PrizePicks, Hard Rock or BetRivers claim here. We do not invent tracking URLs.
Is there a Polymarket multi-outcome bonus or promo code on this page?
No. We do not publish a dollar welcome or a promo code. Partner codes that appear on other sites belong to those publishers. Confirm any live terms in the Polymarket US app. If you open Polymarket through our link we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you — that is not a user bonus.
Is a Polymarket grouped market the same as a sportsbook futures field or an NFL DFS slate?
No. Sportsbook futures and parlays are a house ticket, often with juice that is not a traded book. Daily fantasy is a state-licensed gambling product — often 21+, with a 1-800-GAMBLER frame. Event contracts are CFTC-regulated financial/derivatives products, typically 18+ with KYC. Each Polymarket row is a Yes/No other users trade. A contract can settle at zero. There is no protected bonus floor.

Advertising disclosure: Polymarket links are affiliate links — we may earn a commission at no cost to you, which never affects our ratings. Kalshi, DraftKings, FanDuel, Underdog, Sleeper, PrizePicks, Hard Rock and BetRivers have no live outbound claim on this page. Event contracts are CFTC-regulated financial products, not gambling. Trading involves risk and you can lose money, including your entire stake. Not investment advice. 18+. DFS pages on this site use a separate 21+ / 1-800-GAMBLER frame.
