How to Change Your Email or Password on Polymarket in the US (2026)

Change email, change password, or reset — live Settings labels if public help will not name a button. Not 2FA.

By Scott · Last verified August 8, 2026

Trading involves risk — a new password is not a floor

Polymarket offers CFTC-regulated event contracts: financial/derivatives products, not sportsbook bets and not daily fantasy. You can lose money, including your entire stake. Updating the email or password does not unwind a losing ticket. Nothing on this page is investment advice. For adults 18+ with KYC. State availability can change. This is not two-factor authentication. DFS pages on this site use a separate 21+ / 1-800-GAMBLER frame — do not mix the two.

Advertising disclosure: the claim button is an affiliate link. We may earn a commission if you sign up through it, at no extra cost to you. That never changes our ratings, and it is not a user bonus.

Who this guide is for

US adults who already have a Polymarket US account and now need to change the email, change the password, or reset access when they cannot get in. This is not how to turn on 2FA, not how to close or disable a Polymarket account, not how to complete KYC, and not how to turn on notifications. Those pages are the extra login factor, the account-end request, the identity file, and the alert switch. This page is only the credential change on the US desk. Polymarket is the only live outbound here.

Change email vs change password vs reset

People mash three jobs into one “fix my login” button. Official US retail help does not print that button. Hard rule: if official US help names a screen, we name it. If a label is not on those pages, we describe the action and tell you to follow the live Settings control or support.

Change email

Not a published US retail button

Official US retail help does not reprint a control labelled Change Email, Update Email, or Add Email. Official Create an Account uses Google or Apple ID to open the US desk and later emails you when verification finishes. Official Protect Your Account: that login is linked to the Google account or Apple ID. The action is: open account settings and use a live Email / Change email label if the US app prints one. If it does not, the address lives on the Google or Apple login you used — update it there, or ask support@polymarket.us. We will not invent a Polymarket-side email field those US pages do not print.

Change password

Subtitle names it — no Change Password row

Official Protect Your Account is titled “Keep your password, login, and personal access secure,” then tells you the login is linked to Google or Apple and to keep that primary login secure. It does not reprint Change Password, Update Password, or a current-password form. If you signed in with Google or Apple, the secret you type is that provider’s password, not a Polymarket string we invent. If the live Settings / Security screen prints Change password, use that live label. If it does not, change the Google or Apple password on that account — we will not invent a US-app password box.

Reset — you cannot get in

Support, not a Forgot Password URL we invent

Official US retail help does not reprint Forgot Password, Reset Password, or a recovery-link article. Official How do I contact support?: in-app chat from account settings, or support@polymarket.us. Include what you were trying to do and any error text. Official Protect Your Account: never share a verification code, including with support. Official international How to Sign Up uses an email plus a 6-digit code on the other product — that is not a US reset rail we paste here. We will not invent a forgot-password URL or a guaranteed bypass.

Official US help · no invented Change Email / Change Password row · confirm live Settings

Where account / security settings live

Official Protect Your Account is the credential page. Official What is Polymarket US? is the fiat desk this login belongs to. Official Website vs App splits the international site from the US app.

Account settings — then the live Email / Password label

Official contact + 2FA help name the door

Official How do I contact support? puts in-app chat inside account settings. Official US Two-Factor Authentication help uses that same door, then names Two-Factor Authentication — a different row. Official US retail pages we checked do not reprint Change Email or Change Password inside it. We will not invent Profile → Security → Email. If the live Settings, Security, Account, or Profile screen prints Email, Change email, Password, Change password, or Reset, use that live label.

Google / Apple is the published US login — not a cloned walkthrough

Official Protect Your Account

Official Protect Your Account: your Polymarket login is linked to your Google account or Apple ID; keep that primary login secure. Official Create an Account: sign up with Google or Apple ID. Changing the address or the password on that Google or Apple account is those products’ settings, not a Polymarket click path we invent. Official Protect Your Account still tells you to enable 2FA on the Polymarket US account itself — that lock is a different how-to.

US app — not polymarket.com settings

Official Website vs App

Official What is Polymarket US? and Official Website vs App: US residents use the Polymarket US app on the CFTC-regulated fiat desk. Official Website vs App: accounts are not connected to polymarket.com, and US residents cannot deposit or trade on that site. Official international settings can show an Email / Add email field on that other product. Do not change an address on polymarket.com and assume it updates the US (QCEX) account you funded.

Account settings · live Email / Password label if printed · Google / Apple if not · US app only

This is not 2FA

Official Two-Factor Authentication help is a different settings row. Official Is my money safe? is why you still lock the login after you move it. See how to turn on 2FA for that walk — this page does not clone it.

This page updates the login you already have

A credential change

Change email, change password, and reset are three ways of pointing the same account at a different address or a different secret — or of asking support when you cannot reach either. Official Protect Your Account is the credential page. Official “Is my money safe?”: if you lose your credentials or someone else gains access, you can lose access to your funds. That is why you confirm the live Settings label before you tap, and why you do not paste a code into a chat.

2FA is a second factor — a different settings row

Official US 2FA help

Official US Two-Factor Authentication help: go to account settings and select Two-Factor Authentication, then the authenticator-app option, a QR code, a 6-digit code, and backup codes. That is How to turn on 2FA. Changing the email or the password does not turn 2FA on, does not replace those backup codes, and is not the 6-digit prompt at sign-in. We will not reprint that walkthrough here.

Not KYC, not notifications, not a close request

Three other how-tos

KYC is the identity file — name, date of birth, address, and an ID / selfie if the app asks. Official Create an Account says you are notified by email when verification finishes; that notice is not this page. Notifications / alerts, if the live settings show them, are How to turn on notifications. Close, disable, or delete is How to close or disable a Polymarket account. This page is only the email / password / reset action on the US desk.

Credential change ≠ 2FA ≠ KYC ≠ alerts ≠ close · never share a code

The US email / password sequence

  1. Step 1

Confirm you are on the US (QCEX) app — not polymarket.com

This how-to is the compliant US fiat desk. Official Website vs App: US residents sign in and trade in the Polymarket US app; polymarket.com is a different product and US residents cannot deposit or trade there. Official What is Polymarket US? is the CFTC-regulated designated contract market. Official international How to Sign Up (email + 6-digit code, no traditional password) belongs to that other product. Age is 18+ with KYC — not the 21+ / 1-800-GAMBLER frame on our DFS pages. As of our June 2026 check Polymarket was reported unavailable in Arizona, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada and Ohio. Florida is a green-light state.

  2. Step 2

Know which login you used — Google, Apple, or a live email row if the app shows one

Official Create an Account and Official Protect Your Account name Google or Apple ID as the US login. Official developer Authentication also names email as a sign-in method on the developer portal — that is not a retail Change Email button we invent. Remember which method opened this account. Official Protect Your Account: keep that primary login secure, and sign in only through the official Polymarket app. Do not switch methods on a guess; we will not invent a “link a new provider” toggle those US retail pages do not print.

  3. Step 3

Open account settings and look for a live Change email or Change password control

Official contact help and Official US 2FA help both send you to account settings. Official US retail pages we checked do not reprint Change Email or Change Password. If the live Settings, Security, Account, or Profile screen prints Email, Change email, Password, Change password, or Reset, use that live label. Do not hunt for it on polymarket.com. Official Protect Your Account: never share a verification code, including with support.

  4. Step 4

If no confirmable button, change the Google or Apple login — or request a reset from support

If you can still sign in and the US app has no Email / Password row, update the address or password on the Google account or Apple ID Official Protect Your Account says the login is linked to. If you cannot get in, Official How do I contact support?: in-app chat from account settings, or support@polymarket.us. Say whether you need the email changed, the password changed, or a reset, and that you are on Polymarket US. We will not invent a Forgot Password URL. Official international email-code sign-in is the other product.

  5. Step 5

Leave 2FA, KYC, notifications, and close-account to their own how-tos

How to turn on 2FA is the extra login factor — authenticator, QR, 6-digit code, backup codes. How to complete KYC is the identity file. How to turn on notifications is the alert switch if the live settings show it. How to close or disable a Polymarket account is the end-of-desk request. This page is only how a US person changes the email or password — or asks for a reset — and that those three actions are not 2FA. Official “Is my money safe?”: lost credentials can mean lost access to funds. Event contracts can settle at zero. Nothing here is investment advice.

Two desks — do not paste the international email-code login here

Official What is Polymarket US? splits the brand. The international product is crypto on a chain. Official How to Sign Up on that desk uses an email address plus a 6-digit code and does not create a traditional password. Official international settings can show Email / Add email. Help there is support@polymarket.com.

The US product is a fiat, CFTC-regulated designated contract market. Official Create an Account on docs.polymarket.us names Google or Apple ID. Official Protect Your Account says that login is linked to those accounts. Official US support is support@polymarket.us or in-app chat. We will not paste a Magic-link wallet, a private-key export, or an international Add email field onto this page.

What official US help does not print — so we will not either

Official US retail pages we checked do not print a Change Email or Change Password settings path, a Forgot Password URL, a reset-day clock, or a “switch from Google to email” toggle. Official Protect Your Account names the Google or Apple login and tells you not to share codes. Official developer Authentication names Apple, Google, or email on the developer portal — institutional language, not a confirmed phone button. Official US Two-Factor Authentication help is the other settings row.

If the live Settings / Security screen uses different words for the same action, follow the live screen. That is the rule this site uses when a control is not confirmable on public US help.

Blocked and contested states

Reported unavailable as of June 2026: Arizona, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada and Ohio. That list is not a promise it stays still — litigation around sports event contracts in particular can narrow or shift access. A credential change does not unlock a listed state. If you are in Florida or another green-light state, still confirm account settings opens before you send money.

Age is 18+ with identity verification. That is a different gate from the 21+ / responsible-gambling frame on our DFS pages, because these are traded financial instruments. If you also want NFL DFS, start at the picks hub — those cashier rules do not carry over. Compare platforms on the prediction-markets hub.

What you will not get from this page

A named Change Email / Change Password button official US help does not print, a Forgot Password URL we invented, a cloned 2FA / close-account / KYC / notifications walkthrough, an international email-code or Magic-link paste, a sportsbook password reset, a newsletter form, a dollar welcome match, a paste-this promo code, or claim buttons for Kalshi, DraftKings, FanDuel, Underdog, Sleeper, PrizePicks, Hard Rock or BetRivers. We could not verify a standing official US welcome bonus on Polymarket’s own terms. Other publishers’ partner codes are theirs; we do not copy them. The honest user-facing line is still US access via CFTC-regulated QCEX — official US help links the login to Google or Apple and does not reprint Change Email or Change Password; open account settings and use a live Email / Password label if the US app prints one; otherwise update that primary login or request a reset from in-app chat or support@polymarket.us; and do not treat that change as 2FA. Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I change my email or password on Polymarket US?
Official US retail help does not reprint a control labelled Change Email or Change Password. Official contact help puts in-app chat in account settings; official 2FA help uses that same settings door for a different row. If the live Settings / Security / Account screen prints Email, Change email, Password, Change password, or Reset, use that live label. If it does not, Official Protect Your Account says the login is linked to your Google account or Apple ID — update that primary login, or write support@polymarket.us. Official Website vs App: that path is the US app, not polymarket.com.
What is the difference between change email, change password, and reset?
Change email points the account at a different address — if a live Email row exists, or on the Google / Apple login Official Protect Your Account names. Change password updates the secret on that same login; Official Protect Your Account’s subtitle names password, but the body does not print a Change Password form. Reset is when you cannot get in: Official contact help is in-app chat or support@polymarket.us. Official US help has no Forgot Password article. We will not invent one URL for all three.
Is changing my email or password the same as turning on 2FA?
No. Official US Two-Factor Authentication help is account settings → Two-Factor Authentication, then an authenticator app, a QR code, a 6-digit code, and backup codes. That is How to turn on 2FA. Changing the email or the password updates the login you already have. It does not add the second factor, and the 6-digit 2FA code is not a password reset. Do both if you can still get in — lock the account after you move the credential.
I signed up with Google or Apple. Do I change the password inside Polymarket?
Official Protect Your Account: your Polymarket login is linked to your Google account or Apple ID; keep that primary login secure. Official Create an Account names those same two methods. Official US retail help does not reprint a Polymarket-side password box. If the live US Settings screen prints Change password, use that live label. If it does not, change the Google or Apple password on that account. We will not invent a current-password form those US pages do not print.
Can I change my Polymarket US email from polymarket.com?
Treat them as separate desks. Official What is Polymarket US? and Official Website vs App split the international crypto product from the US fiat exchange. Official Website vs App: accounts are not connected, and US residents cannot deposit or trade on polymarket.com. Official international settings can show Email / Add email on that first product. Changing an address there is not a confirmed change of the US (QCEX) account. Official US support is in-app chat or support@polymarket.us.
I cannot sign in. How do I reset the password?
Official US retail help does not reprint Forgot Password or Reset Password. Official How do I contact support?: in-app chat from account settings if you can still open the app, or support@polymarket.us. Include what you were trying to do and any error text. Official Protect Your Account: never share a verification code, including with someone claiming to be support. Official international How to Sign Up uses an email plus a 6-digit code on the other product — that is not a US reset rail we paste here.
Is this the same as 2FA, close-account, KYC, or notifications?
No. 2FA is the extra login factor. Close-account is how a US person asks to close, disable, or delete the desk. KYC is the identity file. Notifications is the alert switch if the live settings show it. This page is only how a US person changes the email or password on a Polymarket account — or asks for a reset — and that those actions are not 2FA. We link out instead of cloning those click paths.
Can I change my Polymarket email or password in every US state?
You can only use the US product where the desk is open. As of our June 2026 check Polymarket was reported unavailable in Arizona, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada and Ohio. Florida is a green-light state. A credential change does not unlock a blocked state. Confirm the live Settings / support path in-app.
Is there a Polymarket email-or-password bonus or promo code on this page?
No. We do not publish a dollar welcome or a promo code. Partner codes that appear on other sites belong to those publishers. Confirm any live terms in the Polymarket US app. If you open Polymarket through our link we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you — that is not a user bonus.
Is this the same as changing the email on a DFS or sportsbook account?
No. Daily fantasy and sportsbooks are state-licensed gambling products — often 21+, with a 1-800-GAMBLER frame. Polymarket US event contracts are CFTC-regulated financial/derivatives products, typically 18+ with KYC. A contract can settle at zero. Updating this login does not change a sportsbook password, and it does not add a bonus floor.

Advertising disclosure: Polymarket links are affiliate links — we may earn a commission at no cost to you, which never affects our ratings. Kalshi, DraftKings, FanDuel, Underdog, Sleeper, PrizePicks, Hard Rock and BetRivers have no live outbound claim on this page. Event contracts are CFTC-regulated financial products, not gambling. Trading involves risk and you can lose money, including your entire stake. Not investment advice. 18+. DFS pages on this site use a separate 21+ / 1-800-GAMBLER frame.
